Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) is brief exposure therapy that combines cognitive and somatic elements. The somatic component of EFT involved tapping specific parts of the body while verbalising the cognitive pairing. Individuals state a negative cognition associated with a specific emotional event or thought, and then pair this with a self-acceptance statement. For example, if you are feeling angry or anxious, your EFT setup phrase can be as per below while you tap your EFT or meridian/energy hot spots

"Even though I am feeling angry, I deeply and completely accept myself."

EFT is also referred to as Tapping and can be as effective as having a Psychological Acupuncture (without the needles) 😉
